Jamarco Jones Will Decide Soon About Ohio State
Ohio State recruiting was hard at it once more last weekend, with the Buckeyes receiving offers for a couple of athletes, whilst appearing in Jamarco Jones' top 4 remaining schools. The '14 OL Jones has been a fixture on the Ohio State board for a reasonable amount of time now. In turn, the Buckeyes have made it onto Jones' final list of 4 schools he is considering and should get an official visit soon.
The 4 teams are Michigan State, Michigan, Ohio State and Notre Dame. The 290 pound, 6 foot 5 inch Jones comes from Illinois and is ranked the fourth best offensive tackler in the US and the third best prospect hailing from Illinois. Also, Jamarco Jones received offers from schools like Northwestern, Florida, Vanderbilt, Oklahoma, Florida State, Wisconsin, UCLA and Tennessee, amongst others. So you can tell that he is a major recruit for D1 football programs. Take a look at the video below to see him in action last year.
Mike Vrabel, an assistant coach for Ohio State, is the person responsible for recruiting Jones. Vrabel has done a great job of communicating with the Jones family and ensuring that Ohio State has been kept in the midst of Jones' recruitment process. It is a well known fact that Jones has always been taken by everything the Buckeyes can offer. Indeed, Jones visited the OSU more than any other school throughout his period as a recruit.
The commitment from Jones is crucial for the Buckeyes and Meyer. Over recent weeks, Ohio State has failed to land many of its' offensive line prospects, with Orlando Brown and Quenton Nelson committing elsewhere. June 27 is the date that the 4 star offensive tackler will make his final decision, stayed tuned.
