The Ohio State Buckeyes has made a scholarship offer to St. Edward wide receiver, Alex Stump. Stump had already given a verbal commitment to Kentucky, one of many schools to chase Stump with scholarship dollars. The big deal schools include Stanford University, Harvard, Nebraska, Miami and West Virginia.

Stump sent out a graciously-toned tweet after he got the big offer. The offer came after the Eagles lost to Cincinnati Elder.

Stump's stats are outstanding. After his fabulous 11 catches in Saturday's game, Stump's catches number at least 1 in each of 16 games in a row. This week's opponent was Bergen Catholic in the state of New Jersey. The Eagles were victorious in 29 games out of a total of 33 in out of state matches since 1999.
