Ohio Gets Commitment From Jaylen Harris

Ohio Gets Commitment From Jaylen Harris

JaylenHarris

Ohio State's recruiting class has just picked up commit No. 19 - Jaylen Harris, coming out of Cleveland Heights. The four-star wide receiver is the sixth ranked recruit within Ohio, the 28th ranked wideout and the 178th ranked as a prospect nationally according to national rankings.

With a large amount of offers pre-commitment, the Buckeyes won out over Penn State, Michigan State and other major programs.

Even with this exciting commitment from Jaylen Harris, the Buckeyes still remain just behind Crimson Tide's number 1 spot in the team rankings, however, the well-rostered team still has a greater average rating per player than Alabama.

In the Buckeyes' 2017 class, Harris joins four star Columbus athlete Brendon White and five star Trevon Grimes as wide receivers for a team that shows a lot of potential for the New Year.

Standing at an impressive 6 foot 5 inches, Harris will give the Ohio Buckeyes another tall, deep threat option in its arsenal, a welcome addition to the team since Devin Smith exited for the NFL. With a roster filled with speedy slot kinds, it will really pay off to have a couple more traditional options to play around with out on the field.

So where does that leave Ohio State? The Buckeyes have commitments from five out of the top six players within Ohio... and that seems like a pretty sweet deal to us. We look forward to seeing what Jaylen Harris has to offer to one of the nation's most promising programs.
