Ohio State Might Get 4 Star Receiver Jake Smith

Coach Urban Meyer and his excellent staff have put their name in the hat for a chance for four star wide receiver Jake Smith out of Notre Dame Preparatory School (AZ).

Smith is a future conference leader and a sought after commodity for many schools. The junior has over twenty offers from schools like Alabama, California, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, and now Ohio State. He caught many scout's eyes with his 2000 yard season. He had 33 catches for one thousand and fifty five yards and ran for another eleven hundred and thirty five yards. Altogether he amassed 26 touchdowns and almost won a state championship for his Saints team.

The six foot one inch receiver is ranked the 40th best receiver in the entire nation at the moment and 229th ranked prospect in the 2019 class. Smith and his Saints went 13-1 and almost won the state championship this year. He certainly can blaze the fields with his quick feet. Another reason why so many scouts are marking him down as a must watch player is because he is so versatile. It is a rare find to have a player who can play the backfield and receiver positions.

A good all around athlete Smith could find himself on special teams or even playing the corner position and still be a fantastic player. Whoever is lucky enough to get his commitment will have a game changer for the next few years to come.
