Mickey Mitchell, the Four-Star Texas forward joins the Buckeyes.

The four star forward Mickey Mitchell hails from Plano, Texas. Mitchell has recently announced he is set to play for the Ohio State basketball team once again.

Mickey Mitchell signed up for the Buckeyes in August 2013, but he ended his commitment just four weeks ago when his brother, a footballer, transferred from Ohio State to Texas Tech.

Mickey Mitchell let the world know of his commitment via his public Twitter account.

Mitchell is viewed as the thirteenth best player in the country according to 247Sports. The 6-7 forward joins the four-star Georgia center Daniel Giddens, the Dayton Dunbar three-star point guard A.J.Harris and the four-star shooting guard Austin Grandstaff.

Grandstaff and Mickey Mitchell visited Ohio State a few days ago, although no one could have predicted the outcome as Mitchell had de-committed just a month previous. Mike Mitchell, Mickey's brother and former five-star line backer said his fathers failing health was the major reason for transferring from Ohio to Texas Tech.

A number of people felt Mickey would choose to play for a school that was closer to home. Mickey Mitchell received offers from Texas A&M, Kansas, Southern Methodist, Texas and Baylor, but Ohio State was clearly at the top of his wish list.

Ken Mitchell, the boys father spoke to Cleveland.com after his son Mickey Mitchell committed twelve months ago, he said Micky viewed Ohio State as a legendary team with a great basketball program.

Mickey Mitchell and Grandstaff are good buddies, so this factor may have influenced his decision to commit. Grandstaff committed back in May and he stated Mickey was one of the major reasons for his commitment to Ohio State.

Mickey Mitchell is a great 6-7 forward who handles the ball well. Mitchell is a good dunker and a skilled passer who will be a great help to the Buckeyes in the forthcoming season.
