Utah Commit Branden Bowen Switches To The Buckeyes

Branden Bowen

When Branden Bowen visited Ohio State for their home game against Illinois, he found the environment unbelievable and de-committed from Utah shortly after the visit. Ohio Stadium has that affect on many recruits that come to visit for a home game. A week ago he made his choice to become a Buckeye for 2015 official by sending out a tweet with his decision after telling the coaching staff. It only took him two weeks to make the switch from the Utes to the Buckeyes.

Bowen is a three star recruit from Draper Corner Canyon who looks to play offensive tackle at the college level. At 6’7” and 320lbs he gives the class an additional lineman that can become a high performer early in his career. He has already made huge steps in performance over his junior and senior years. He loves the weight room and his looking forward to playing for Coach Warinner and Urban Meyer.

He joins Matthew Burrell, Grant Schmidt and Kevin Feder as lineman in the class of 2015 for Ohio State. He mentioned the coaching staff and their ability to get the team to the National Championship, in his opinion, as reasons that he made the switch.

Although he will be away from home in Columbus, he feels the team will become his new family.
