Michael Bennett, Centerville, Highlights of High School Continue
For Michael Bennett, Centerville, highlights from his high school career are still accumulating as he looks forward to his senior year playing football in Ohio. While he was a sophomore, this player was a force to be reckoned with on the offensive line, and then this past year as a junior he showed himself to be an excellent defensive tackle. Also a state qualifier in the discus and shot put events, his track and field accomplishments accompany his scholastic achievements, making this student an outstanding Class of 2011 prospect.

Northwestern and Ohio State are the two schools that have risen to the top and they both hope that he will make the decision to play for their school before his senior season. Although recruited by many other schools, he narrowed the possibilities to ones that would allow him to play defensive tackle, the position that he anticipates being able to excel at. This player is quick in getting the ball off, repels blocks and finishes each play in a dominating style. Quite simply, his opponents end up on the ground while he stays on his feet. He isn’t even close to reaching his full potential and with statistics like a 4.9 forty yard dash and being able to squat an impressive 400 pounds, his is one to watch develop though his college years. With a 3.3 core GPA and plans to enter a pre-med program this student is looking at more than competitive football, but right now, that’s what is on everyone mind and more importantly, at what school that competitive football career will begin.
