5-Star Recruit Will Make Intentions Known

5-Star Recruit Will Make Intentions Known

TreySmith

The Ohio State Buckeyes will know later today if they have secured one of their top targets. That recruit is Trey Smith. The tackle is the number 3 target from the state of Tennessee. He has narrowed down his decision to three of the top programs in the nation, Ohio State, Alabama, and Tennessee.

They recently acquired their sixth five-star prospect of their 2017 class in Texas linebacker, Baron Browning. Getting 7 five-star recruits could give Urban Meyer the best class in the nation this year.

Smith is considered by experts to be the number 5 tackle in his senior class. The class is stacked with talent at that position considering the fact that he is still ranked in the top 25 overall. The talent of the incoming lineman at Ohio State is already staggering as they have signed two other five-star recruits at blocking positions.

Smith has the size to compete at the college level. He is 6-foot-5 and weighs over 300 pounds already. With the world class training program at Ohio state, he should get even bigger. Programs are clamoring for him because of his long-term potential.

Most people close to the student think that he will stay in state and choose Tennessee. Ohio State is still in contention, though. He will make his final decision today on ESPNU's College Football Daily show. The show airs at 4 p.m..
