Many people remember Nick Sharick as being part of Tennessee University. However, today he is enrolling at Ohio state where is will be a preferred walk-on. This news was shared in an exclusive interview with The O-Zone's Tony Gerdeman. With this news comes the expectation that Nick Sharick will provide depth at a position that's currently being played by both Bryce Haynes and George Makridis.
In the summer of 2012 Sharick had joined Tennessee but then left prior to fall camp. This allowed him to be introduced as a class of 2013 recruit. Currently he remains unrated by the major recruiting agencies but they do say that he also considered becoming a preferred walk-on for South Carolina as well.
Nick Sharick will be Ohio State's fourth preferred walk-on for the 2013 football season. The type of player he is will definitely help the university. In the past he may have even been offered a scholarship. The fact that they can get players like him without scholarship offers is crucial for the university at this moment.
