Ohio State Football From The Eyes Of Raekwon McMillan

When it comes to college football recruiting, Urban Meyer, Ohio State Football head coach, is without a doubt the best closer. On Monday, Meyer managed to add another big name to his list of big time prospects when Raekwon McMillan, the Liberty County linebacker announced that he was going to join the Buckeyes.

McMillan said that there is something special about the Buckeyes. He claimed that after several visits to Ohio State, and a lot of talk with coach Meyer, he had built a special bond with the Buckeyes.

The 241-pound, 6-foot-2 player chose Ohio state over Georgia, Clemson, Auburn and Alabama among other finalists. In Ohio State's 2014 recruiting class, McMillan is recruit No. 18.

McMillan further said that The Ohio State University, the people, the excellence and traditions in the institution say everything. According to him, the atmosphere in and around campus is the best he's ever seen in his life.

While his decision to join the Buckeyes did not come as a surprise, things became tense when Alabama made a late run, and Clemson has always been interested in him for a long time.

McMillan did not have anything bad to say about the other schools, and he claims that he could have chosen either one of them.

As the football season approached, Ohio state was always considered an early leader in the scramble for the player. Coach Meyer was able to fend off the ACC and SEC powers to land his commitment.

McMillan noted that Alabama has some of the best football facilities in the country. As a result, they have some strong points in some areas, but also weak points in some. On the other hand, Ohio State does not seem to have any real weakness.

Rivals.com has rated McMillan at No. 19 prospect nationwide and the best inside linebacker in the country.
