In this video from Scarlet And Grey, linebacker Ryan Shazier discusses practicing with Urban Meyer in control of the team as opposed to Jim Tressel who was a little bit more ‘laid back’. His knee was 100% at the end of the spring and he had put on 16lbs up to 226lbs, but he kept the great speed that he demonstrated on the field in 2011. He really liked the 2011 season, despite the team record, as he was able to step-up and start by the end of the year. Originally recruited by Urban Meyer for Florida, he picked Ohio State when Meyer left Gainesville. He understands how the college game works, coaches move around and don’t stay with one program as long as they used to. He feels the pressure to make a good impression on the new staff and sees that across the board at all the positions.
