Terrell Hall On His OSU Commitment

St Johns Washington DC defensive end Terrell Hall committed to Urban Meyer and Ohio State this week. He took a little extra time to compare Ohio State to other schools, but when it came time to make a decision there wasn’t any hesitation. On Monday the standout defensive lineman called Coach Meyer and Larry Johnson to let them know.

Ohio State was always at the top of his list, according to Hall. And other schools could not compare. He had offers from Notre Dame, LSU, Clemson, UCLA, Texas A&M and Tennessee. The perfect combination for Hall was what the Buckeyes have to offer a player on the field and off the field. Playing for a National Championship team and getting a solid education with career training.

He likes that football players that do not make it to the next level are given training in obtaining a job out of school and help in getting their career going.

Line coach Larry Johnson played a big role in recruiting Hall. Coach Johnson keeps in contact with the kids he has coached long after they have left the program, according to Hall. That let Hall know that players are like family at Ohio State.

Coach Johnson also detailed a plan to play Hall in a number of positions along the defensive the front, and that was appealing.
