With Spring Practice happening on the OSU campus, the National Champions are also recruiting players with a focus on running backs. Last week the Buckeyes offered a 2017 cornerback, Lamont Wade. This week they are offering a 2018 running back, Zamir White. Analyst expect White to be one of the top running backs in 2018, a class yet to be ranked.

White now has 5 scholarship offers including Ohio State, Tennessee, North Carolina, NC State, and Georgia. He will be a sophomore this coming season at Laurinburg in North Carolina. As a freshman White ran for 1231 yards and 18 touchdowns. He is a tough runner, strong, and with good vision that can get through the line without an issue. In addition to all that, he is very fast. White is often compared to Ezekiel Elliott, Ohio State’s starting running back.

Other running backs in the mix for the Buckeyes include 2016 commitment Kareem Walker, ranked 1st overall nationally. Committed running back George Hill, rated the 4th best for 2016. And Demario McCall, considered the 3rd best tailback for 2016, who is expected to commit for the class at some point in the future. Ricky Slade, another 2018 running back, also has an offer to play for Urban Meyer.

The Buckeyes have had the best running attack in the country the past 3 years and with new recruits like these, they should continue to be to move the ball easily.
