Gavin Cupp, 3 star offensive lineman was offered a scholarship by the Buckeyes. This happened less than a week after being let go by Michigan State for going to the Friday Night Lights Camp in the State of Ohio.

This 3 star offensive lineman landed the offer and it didn't even take him a week. He was notified about their intentions on Thursday afternoon by Ohio State.

Gavin Cupp was let go by the Spartans after he had attended the Friday Night Lights Camp in Ohio State. He weighs 285 pounds, is 6 foot 5 and prior to this he was committed to Michigan State and dropped thereafter by the Spartans.

Cupp was told that he was no longer committed to the Spartans and that he should look for another school. This was after working-out for the Buckeye staff.

On Thursday afternoon Cupp confirmed the Buckeye offer to Scout. However, he did not accept it straight away, he is expected to become the 21st commit to the 2016 Ohio State recruiting class.

Gavin Cupp has the right build to play tackle or project to guard at a higher level. He is a strong and tough kid who has the ability to finish his blocks excellently. He is a kid with good co-ordination and has good balance and base and also keeps his feet in the open field. The key for him is to develop the technique and explosiveness to handle the speedy edge rushers, if he is to project to tackle.
