Lonnie Johnson and Ohio State Football

Last season, high schooler Lonnie Johnson played wide receiver for his home football team in Gary, Indiana. If his incredibly impressive season during his junior year is any indication, his final year on the team should be incredibly impressive. His skill as an athlete has already led to his commitment to the football program at the Ohio State University.

Being a part of the Ohio State football team has been a dream of Lonnie's for many years. While it is certainly clear that his teammates could benefit from his skill in a variety of ways (including in a variety of defensive positions, for which Lonnie is not well known), it is predicted that he will remain a wide receiver.

As Ohio State University continues to recruit more players like Lonnie, their 2014-2015 football season is shaping up to be a probably rousing success story. If the team is comprised of players with the talent, skill and passion that Lonnie Johnson brings to the table, it seems that there will be no obstacle too large. As Lonnie's career trajectory continues to define itself, it is fair to say that an eventual recruitment by a team in the NFL is a distinct possibility. Like all things, however, only time will tell.
