Josh Proctor, the Four Star Safety, Declares Commitment to the Buckeyes Ohio State just received a commitment from Josh Proctor, the 'Sooner State' standout safety from Okla... Proctor, who weighs 185 pounds and is six foot two inches tall, made this announcement on Saturday. He was also contemplating offers from schools such as Texas and Oklahoma in the Big Twelve area. Proctor believes that it might surprise many in his locality that he will play away from home. In an interview, he said that - because people know where he grew up and his relatives played in OU - they expect him to follow suit. However, he feels that he has a good rapport with the Ohio State coaches, and therefore will be able to perform well for them. Proctor used Twitter to confirm his commitment to the Buckeyes. "Firstly, I want to thank my family and coaches, and most importantly God", Proctor wrote. "I want to thank each of the universities and coaches who made me offers, however there's just one school that was really suitable. Notwithstanding, over the next few years, I will dress in Scarlet and Gray colors. I am now officially a Buckeye for Ohio State!" Proctor will feature in the Under Armour 2017 All America match. He has a four star prospect rating, and is ranked number fifteen as a safety prospect nationwide. In Oklahoma, he is the number two overall prospect. Proctor is the second safety and seventh team member of the 2018 Ohio State recruiting class. Analysis: Josh Proctor commits to Buckeyes |
