After reclassifying to be able to come onto campus in 2021, he wasn't able to get on the field much although he did sign some lucrative naming rights deals. Quarterbacks CJ Stroud and Kyle McCord got almost all the available snaps during the year. "After a long thought process, I have decided to take the next step in transferring from the Ohio State University. I am looking forward to pursuing further opportunities in which I will be able to get on the field and help my team win." Ewers said.
